The big mystery in my life has been how to live my life. Especially when you learn the big secret about life; no one actually knows what they’re doing. Therefore, the only thing that we can really know, is that we don’t know. And we should relax, because nothing is in our control. But somehow we figure it out along the way or it ends up to be okay and work out for the best.
So, what do we do?
- For starters, fake it till you make it (& act confident, feel confident.)
What you focus on tends to strengthen. The more you act like you’re confident and know what you’re doing, the more you strengthen this habit. Soon you might find it to be second nature.
- Stay in your own lane.
Experts tend to make things look easy. Don’t compare your day 1 of trying something to someone’s 10 years of experience. You’re right where you’re supposed to be and on your own journey, try to refrain from comparison. (easier said than done.)
- It’s better to focus on your strengths and doing what you love.
Life is short, and not as much fun when you focus on what you can’t do or what you’re not good at. Put your energy and focus on what you’re good at and what you love. You just might create a life you love.
- Just try stuff.
It is said that 80% of success is just showing up and that you never know if you don’t try. Try new things, fail at new things, learn lessons, and find new things you might like. Life is for experiencing and living.
- Ultimately, things just take time.
The truth about overnight success it that it took a really long time. The older I get, the more I realize that life really is about the journey, enjoy where you are and where you are going.
Because remember, we don’t really know how things will go or what will happen, but it’s ok and exciting anyways.
